Vision

The Modern Art of Living

Built by visionaries, for visionaries.

Built by visionaries, for visionaries.

It started with a vision. To create a private, lush sanctuary in the heart of the cultural and arts mecca of Center City. A home for the enlightened. Those who are both patrons of the arts and connoisseurs of architecture. Arthaus is the realization of that vision.

Set aptly on the Avenue of the Arts, this 47-story masterpiece is steps from the Kimmel Center and a short walk from hundreds of Philadelphia’s most fashionable shops and finest restaurants – proof that whatever one can imagine, one can make real.

Wake up inside a work of art. Step outside into the arts.

Wake up inside a work of art. Step outside into the arts.

Gazing up at Arthaus, you are struck by this monumental tour de force, adorning the Philadelphia skyline like a sculpture of glass and concrete.

The name Arthaus was inspired by the Bauhaus movement – a period of architecture and design whose most basic tenet was that form should follow function. Excess was replaced by beauty that could also meet the needs and desires of real people. One example: The building’s tiered “bundled box” design is not only aesthetically pleasing, but it gives every unit its own corner, with two full exterior walls of breathtaking views.

Arthaus isn’t just about surrounding yourself in the beauty of your own haus; it’s about having instant access to a vast gallery of curated amenities, outdoor green spaces and unparalleled experiences. It’s about living among a vibrant community of art patrons and artists. And, it’s about being an integral part of Philadelphia’s art scene.

Eugene Kohn

Patrons of fine art know to look for the signature. This one belongs to Eugene Kohn, a Philadelphia native who has become one of the world’s most recognized and acclaimed architects. His portfolio spans more than 40 countries. He’s the man behind the expansion of New York City’s Museum of Modern Art. In Philadelphia, his portfolio includes the University of Pennsylvania, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Four Seasons.
